Challenger is a leading company in the production of large-scale special-purpose vehicles. Developing and mastering new technologies, the company started producing tractors, moreover, on caterpillar tracks. The name of the trademark comes from the word caterpillar. Since 1908, the production of tractors running on gasoline begins. The technique gained significant popularity and was exported to many European countries. With the outbreak of the First World War, the company began to fulfill military orders, which make up the bulk of production. The Challenger brand emerged in 1987 as a result of a decision made by Caterpillar management to produce tracked tractors. The already huge range of products has been replenished with combines, sprayers, spreaders, tractors with forage equipment. Working on the traction properties of the units, the designers managed to reduce the pressure on the soil by replacing the metal parts with others made of softer material. Over time, the company expanded its production capacity by building factories in other countries. Numerous crises affected the production of equipment, but did not stop the activities of the company. Since 1998, the company, having acquired a subsidiary, has been producing diesel engines. However, despite significant success, in 2001 the company discontinued the production of agricultural machinery and switched to the production of construction machinery. The products include a wide range of dump trucks, asphalt pavers, rammers, track loaders, forklifts and other equipment.

 In order to achieve the required power, Challenger tractor manufacturers have equipped their power units with turbochargers. In tracked tractors, a suspension was installed, which created a smooth ride, softening all the unevenness of the road. Such a unit could easily move on any soil.  The tracked series is adapted to work on difficult terrain and conditions of increased difficulty. These tractors are in many respects similar in their characteristics to the previous MT900 series, only the fuel tank is slightly smaller. The lineup consists of the following models: МТ845Е, МТ855Е, МТ865Е and model МТ865С, which weighs 22 tons. The МТ800Е series is a modification with an increased engine power up to 450-637 hp. They are also capable of lifting loads up to 14 tons. The uniqueness of these tractors is the ability to shift gears without pressing the clutch thanks to the built-in intelligent system.
