HOWO 6 × 4 is a large-capacity truck tractor with a 6 × 4 wheel structure, the main purpose of which is considered to be the transportation of the widest range of goods as part of a road train using semi-trailers for various purposes on roads with asphalt or unpaved (hard) surfaces ... It can boast of a reliable and robust technology, good technical and operational parameters and an optimal ratio of quality and price ... For the HOWO 6 × 4 truck tractor, an all-metal cab of a cabover layout with a neat appearance and an ergonomically organized interior is offered. The truck is equipped with two seats (and on the driver's side - with air suspension and a wide number of adjustments) and one or two (depending on the height of the cab) sleeping bunks. The length of the HOWO 6 × 4 is 6900 mm, its width is 2550 mm, and its height does not exceed 3800 mm. The distance between the first two axles of the tractor has a gap of 3200-3225 mm, and the base of the rear bogie is 1350-1400 mm. The ground clearance of the car does not go beyond 298 mm, and the width of the front and rear track is 2022 mm and 1830 mm, respectively. The curb weight of the truck is 9180 kg, and its total (structurally permissible) weight is 25,000 kg. The machine is capable of operating as part of a road train weighing from 60,000 to 80,000 kg, depending on the modification.
The HOWO 6 × 4 is driven by diesel "sixes" (meet the environmental requirements of "Euro-2") with an in-line layout, turbocharging, common rail fuel supply, liquid cooling and an intercooler: The first option is a 9.7 liter engine (9726 cubic centimeters) generating 290, 336 or 371 horsepower at 2200 rpm and 1160, 1350 or 1500 Nm of rotational potential (respectively) at 1100-1600 rpm. The second is an 11.6-liter (11596 cubic centimeters) unit that produces 420 hp. at 2000 rpm and 1820 Nm of torque at 1100-1500 rpm. Regardless of the version, the truck is equipped with a 9-speed (synchronized) "mechanics", a dry single-disc clutch of 420 mm and driving wheels of two rear axles (with inter-axle and inter-axle locks). The maximum speed of the car is 90-102 km / h, and its fuel consumption ranges from 35 to 40 liters for each "hundred" of the run. The skeleton of the HOWO 6 × 4 is a spar frame made of high-strength steel, on which an all-metal cabin is installed using a four-point suspension. In the front part, the truck is equipped with a dependent "hodovka" with semi-elliptical springs, hydraulic shock absorbers and an anti-roll bar, and in the rear - a balance-type structure suspended using longitudinal semi-elliptical springs. The semitrailer tractor is equipped with a ZF steering complex with a hydraulic booster and a braking system with a pair of circuits, drum-type mechanisms "in a circle" and ABS.
