XCMG
The world famous corporation XCMG (Xuzhou Construction Machinery Group Inc.) has its history since 1943, when weapons production was opened for the needs of the army. Gradually there was a reprofiling for cars, and then construction equipment. Now the XCMG brand (Nanjing XCMG Automobile) is an international heavy machinery manufacturer with headquarters in Xuzhou (Jiangsu Province, China).
The history of the industrial giant
The concern acquired its real name in 1989, when it became part of Construction Machinery Co. Ltd. Vayan Min became the director of the new production, under whose leadership the plant acquired the status of a reliable partner and an exemplary manufacturer for 8 years. Three enterprises and a specialized research institute were merged. The successful XCMG subsidiary in 1997 received the honorary title of exemplary production in its industry. It was in the 90s that the company was awarded the first quality certificates. In 2000, the plant produces the first Chinese 100-ton crane, in 2003 - the 500-ton XCMG truck crane.
The most significant reforms started in 1998, when the corporation was restructured after bankruptcy and falling demand on a global scale. Since 2012, XCMG is among the top five global brands for the production of special equipment. In the same year, the concern took first place in the world among enterprises producing truck cranes. The corporation is not only a strong player in the global market, but also ranks first domestically in its industry sector.
Today, the corporation includes 20 factories with additional structures. Products under the XCMG brand are exported to 178 regions of the world, where 280 representative offices are open. 25 thousand people work at the factories, production is constantly expanding along with after-sales service all over the world. The scientific research institute employs 2 thousand leading experts, so the development of technology does not stand still, models of construction vehicles are constantly updated.
In 1995, XCMG and Caterpillar Inc. merged, the joint venture for the production of excavator equipment is the largest in Europe and covers a production area of 170 thousand square meters. m. The Chinese leader not only develops its model line, but acquires licenses from well-known brands.
In 2010, a modern production of railway equipment was opened, merging with the German concern Schwing for the production of concrete mixers of various classes takes place. Currently, a plant has been opened in Brazil, where not only models of heavy special equipment that are in high demand are being assembled, but produced.
It is interesting to note that in 2014 the concession received the Excavator Oscar figurine for its contribution to the development and improvement of wide-area special equipment. The impeccable reputation of a partner, manufacturer and supplier requires mandatory quality control of products and the introduction of the latest technologies in their business.
XCMG technology
XCMG Concern produces a wide range of products; on any construction site in the world you can find special equipment from the Middle Kingdom. The main production is divided into two areas:
self-propelled cargo cranes;
